Eco Friendly Signage Solutions

If you are currently using, or considering different types of signage, then there are a number of things you might want to consider when selecting product formats and printing options which can help in reducing the impact to our environment.

The traditional vinyl banner, used extensively in the sign industry in Australia over many years, is now being challenged by the more environmentally friendly fabric banner with a substantially smaller carbon footprint. (see comparison table below)

Portable			Fabric banners are at least 1/3^rd the weight of vinyl banners of equal size and much easier to carry around

Cleaning			Fabric banners can be machine washed and keeping them in a clean condition is easier than vinyl banners

Strength			Waratah fabric banners have the comparable strength of a standard vinyl banner
Colour Fastener			Solvent inks used on vinyl banners do last longer outdoors but are more harmful to the environment than water based inks
Recycling			Recycling of fabric is much more efficient than vinyl due to lighter weight and ease of processing
Carbon Footprint			Fabric uses up to 70% less energy and material than vinyl in initial production
